Explore the art in our gallery, nibble and nosh, and meet Paula Wolcott, the featured August artist at the Gallery at 42 Maple.
Paula lives in Sugar Hill and is well-known in the region for her colorful oil paintings of dogs, horses, adobe churches and moonlit scenes. She builds her own canvases at home and paints from a combination of life, memory and imagination. This show of new works combines her love of figures, with a new abstract approach, using color to express facets of the interior mind. She says, “I think any painting that is heartfelt and has a strong feeling of life is a good painting.”
Live music will be performed by Lefty Yunger
