Lockwood studies oil painting at the New Hampshire Institute of Art and developed a company called Spruce Cove Designs, where she designed needlework forms such as crossstitch, embroidery and hardangar. After taking an extended break from her creative process to raise her chidlren, she began producing artwork again in 2018. She said she found what had been missing in her life. Always inspired by the natural world that surrounds her, Lockwood works in oils and acrylics and paints everything from landscapes to wildlife. She experiments with new techniques and mediums and has a parcticular fondness for vivid color exploration.
